Papagayo Presents: Unveiling Through Poetry

The Papagayo Project is a long-time collaborator with BWOMS. Papagayo is literacy project based out of El Paso Community College that hosts writing workshops, book discussions, movie screenings, attends literary events/readings, and other various projects that help bring out creativity in students. Papagayo is not limited to just EPCC students/faculty but the community and UTEP students/faculty as well. Papagayo, like BWOMS, has shifted to virtual events during this pandemic. Find out more and follow Papagayo events here

Join us on Wednesday, March 24th from 12-1pm for "Unveiling Through Poetry" a discussion and workshop led by Patty Orozco. Patty has been an instant star in our community and has been sharing her poems at our events for well over a year now. Join us as she reads some of her work, talks about her experiences on sharing her work, connecting with the audience, and hiding in metaphors.
